Delhi shows hope! Boys help foreigner, beat stalker
New Delhi, Sept 18: Delhiites, you will find hope in this viral video. In a CCTV footage in Malviya Nagar, a foreigner was rescued by a group of boys when she was being stalked by a man, who later attempted to snatch her phone.
The lady could be seen walking while talking over the phone when a man emerges from behind a car and starts stalking her.
The next camera shot shows few boys chasing him and then beating him before handing him to the police.
A heroic gesture, the boys have set an example of hope, generosity and kindness in a city, which is known as the rape and the assault capital of the country.
As per the annual statistics provided by the Delhi Police, criminal activities against foreign nationals has increased by 59 percent from 2012-2013.
In a span of two and half months last year February to April, a total of 12 criminal cases have been registered.
It has also been found that 29.4% of the total criminal cases registered against foreigners is untraceable in 2013. The percentage was even higher in 2011 and 2012.
