Delhi Shocker: Influenced by Akshay Kumar's movies, teenager kills elderly people

New Delhi, July 24: 18-year-old Deepanshu, son of a daily wage worker, has been arrested in connection with a double murder case in Delhi.

The teenager, who aspired to live a lavish life like his favourite hero Akshay Kumar, was unable to follow his dreams due to their financial condition.

Deepanshu, a die-hard fan of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, however, did not lose hope. He used to accompany his father at work. One day his dreams led him to a house where two elderly people used to stay.

He wanted to spend a Bollywood-style lavish life, hence, he hatched a robbery plot. He entered the house where 92-year-old Seva Ram and his daughter-in-law, 62-year-old Shashi used to stay.

Deepanshu, while entering the house, did not expect any resistance. But his plans had gone wrong as the woman started screaming raising an alarm.

The accused got scared and stabbed her multiple times with a scissor. Later when her father-in-law came to rescue her, Deepanshu stabbed him as well.

The accused reportedly had stolen a mobile phone and Rs 20,000 in cash. Almost a week after the double murder, police arrested Deepanshu.

Investigating police officers informed that Deepanshu was influenced by Akshay Kumar's movies, such as Khiladi, Mohra, Anjaam and wanted to spend life like the actor.
