Delhi Polls: Registration For Kejriwal's Mahila Samman Yojana To Begin On Monday; Check Documents Required

Arvind Kejriwal, a prominent figure in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), recently shared significant updates regarding two key initiatives. He announced that registrations for both the Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana would commence on Monday, December 23. These schemes aim to provide financial support and healthcare benefits to women and the elderly in Delhi.

"We had announced this Rs 2100 bonus for mothers and sisters. Ever since we announced this scheme, people are asking when the registration will start. Registration for Mahila Samman Nidhi will start in Delhi from tomorrow. We will come to your home for registration," Arvind Kejriwal said.

Kejriwal Launches Key Support Schemes For Delhi

Arvind Kejriwal's Mahila Samman Yojana: Empowering Women

The Mahila Samman Yojana is designed to offer financial assistance to women over 18 years old. Initially, the plan was to provide Rs 1,000 monthly, but Kejriwal has pledged to increase this amount to Rs 2,100 if his party wins the upcoming assembly elections in February next year. This initiative is part of the Delhi government's budget for 2024-25.

Kejriwal assured that women need not travel for registration as volunteers will visit their homes. Eligible women voters must present their voter identity cards to receive these benefits. This approach aims to simplify access and ensure that all eligible women can participate without hassle.

Sanjeevani Yojana: Healthcare for Seniors

In addition to supporting women, Kejriwal introduced the Sanjeevani Yojana, targeting individuals over 60 years old. This scheme promises free medical treatment for seniors once AAP regains power in Delhi. Similar to the Mahila Samman Yojana, volunteers will handle registrations at beneficiaries' residences.

The AAP leader's announcements come as part of their campaign strategy ahead of the Delhi elections. The party seeks a third consecutive term after securing 62 out of 70 seats in the previous election. These initiatives reflect AAP's commitment to addressing social welfare issues and improving citizens' quality of life.

Kejriwal's focus on grassroots engagement through home visits by volunteers highlights an effort to connect directly with voters. By making registration processes convenient and accessible, AAP aims to strengthen its support base among women and seniors in Delhi.
