Delhi Police Recovers ACP's Son's Dead Body From A Canal In Haryana

Delhi police ACP's son was allegedly pushed into the canal by two of his friends, Vikas Bhardwaj and Abhishek, over a financial dispute. He was missing for last 4 days and now police has recovered his body.

According to the reports, Delhi Police's Assistant Commissioner Yashpal Singh's 24-year-old son, Lakshya Chauhan, was found dead. The reports said he was missing for last 4 days and his body was recovered from a canal in Haryana. The reports also added that Lakshya Chauhan, a lawyer at Tis Hazari court, was allegedly pushed into the canal by two of his friends, Vikas Bhardwaj and Abhishek, over a financial dispute.

Delhi ACPs Son Found Dead

The investigating officer for the case reported that Lakshya Chauhan, a resident of Mahindra Park near Adarsh Nagar in northwest Delhi, went with two of his friends to attend a wedding in Bhiwani on Monday. However, when he didn't return, and his mobile was switched off. The family registered a complaint with police, after which, a probe was launched, and now his body has been found.

The police has now arrested Abhishek Kumar (19), who has confessed to the crime of pushing Lakshya into the canal. The other accused, Vikas Bhardwaj is on a run and police is trying to catch him, said reports.

An investigator in the case said, "We arrested Kumar after he confessed to murdering Chauhan along with Vikas by pushing him into the Munak canal that is nearly 16 feet deep and has four channels - two flowing towards Delhi and other two towards Haryana. The search for Chauhan's body continued on Friday. But divers are yet to find it."

Shedding light on the incident, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer-North), Ravi Kumar Singh, stated that Kumar informed the police that he arrived at Mukarba Chowk approximately at 3:30 pm on January 22. At that point, Chauhan picked him up in his black car. Subsequently, Bhardwaj joined them, and they arrived at the wedding venue late at night, departing from the location after midnight.

"On the way, they stopped the car at Panipat and all three came out from the answer the call of nature. When Chauhan was standing near the canal, Bhardwaj and Kumar pushed him into the water. Then, they fled in Chauhan's car," Ravi Kumar said.
