Delhi police allotted Rs 5913.74 cr in Budget
New Delhi, Feb 29: Delhi Police has been allotted Rs 5,913.74 crore in the Union Budget for next fiscal, an increase of Rs 540 crore over the current year.
Of the total amount allotted in the 2016-17 Budget, Rs 300 crore has been marked as planned expenditure and Rs 5,610.34 crore as non-plan expenditure.

Budgetary allocation for 2015-16 was Rs 4,979.48 crore. Rs 3.40 crore from the Nirbhaya fund has also been set aside for the city police, aimed at enhancing measures for ensuring women security in the national capital.
An identical amount was earmarked under this head last year too.
