Delhi: Personal assistant to Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar commits suicide

New Delhi, Aug 21: A 31-year-old man working as a Personal Assistant to Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, allegedly committed suicide by hanging at 2:25 am on August 20 in Laxmi Bai Nagar area.

The official, Kundan Singh, aged 30, was staying with his family in Laxmibai Nagar near Sarojini Nagar. A native of Bihar, Kundan had returned from office on Sunday and went to sleep in his room after dinner. When Kundan's wife went to check later, she found him hanging.

Station House Officer Ritu Raj said,"No suicide note was found. We are trying to ascertain the cause and questioning his family," he added.

The body was handed over to the family after post-mortem. Investigation underway.
