Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Express Festival Specials Begin: Route, Timings, Stops

In a festive treat for passengers in Bihar, Indian Railways has launched two special Vande Bharat Express trains between New Delhi and Patna starting October 11, 2025. These trains will operate until November 17, covering the Diwali and Chhath Puja period, offering commuters a safe, comfortable, and convenient travel option during the festival season.

Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, Chief Public Relations Officer of Northern Railway, said, "To facilitate the travel of passengers during the ensuing festivals, Railways decided to run Vande Bharat festival special trains."

Travel Time and Coaches

Both Vande Bharat festival special trains cover a distance of 1,000 km in approximately 13 hours and 30 minutes. Train number 02252/02251 New Delhi-Patna-New Delhi Reserved Vande Bharat Festival Special Express runs with 16 coaches, while train number 02253/02254 Patna-New Delhi-Patna Reserved Vande Bharat Special Express operates with 20 coaches.

Stoppages

During their journey, the trains will halt at six major stations: Aligarh, Kanpur Central, Prayagraj, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Buxar, and Ara, ensuring smooth connectivity for passengers across key locations.
