Delhi-NCR Dust Storm Forecast And Thunderstorm Alert Amid Heatwave

The India Meteorological Department issues a yellow alert for Gautam Buddha Nagar and Ghaziabad, warning of light rain and thunderstorms. The advisory comes as the region faces an intense heatwave, with conditions expected to shift rapidly when the weather system arrives.

According to the IMD notice, a dust storm is likely to move across Delhi, Noida and other Delhi-NCR areas. The system is expected to bring a thunderstorm and light rainfall afterwards, offering some relief but also raising short-term safety concerns.

The weather department says strong winds are expected at Loni Dehat, Hindon AF Station, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram and Chhapraula. Similar gusty conditions are forecast for Noida, Dadri, Greater Noida, Faridabad and Ballabhgarh, as the dust storm passes through these locations.

IMD officials state that the dust storm will be followed by a thunderstorm and light showers across Delhi-NCR. Residents in the affected cities are advised to stay updated on the forecast, as the warning highlights changing weather during a continuing heatwave.
