Delhi Murder Case: Who Is Sahil? Instagram Post Features Different Image Of Him On Social Media

In a disturbing incident that has left the public in disbelief, the accused 20-year-old Sahil, who ruthlessly stabbed his girlfriend to death in Delhi's Shahbad area, had a surprising social media presence that concealed the brutality of his crime.

Despite being a refrigerator and AC mechanic by profession, a quick glance at Sahil's Instagram profile would not have hinted at the heinous act he committed.

As more details of the murder emerge, Sahil's Instagram account has come to light. With approximately 400 followers and over 50 posts, his bio reads phrases like "Love your dar life," "Daaru lover," and "Love you mom."

The account showcases numerous videos and images of Sahil indulging in parties with friends, where he can be seen consuming alcohol and smoking hookah. Scrolling further down his timeline, a picture of Punjabi singer and politician Shubhdeep Singh, alias Sidhu Moosewala, is visible, indicating his admiration for the artist.

However, Sahil's Instagram account had remained inactive for the past six weeks. His final post was a reel showing him and his friends drinking alcohol and smoking hookah in an outdoor setting.

Based on his Instagram posts, Sahil appeared to be an average young man striving to portray a happening image on social media.

The chilling incident took place on Sunday evening in Delhi's Shahbad Dairy area when Sahil, aged 20, mercilessly stabbed his 16-year-old girlfriend to death, inflicting over 20 wounds. The Delhi police revealed that the accused intercepted the victim while she was on her way to attend a birthday party and proceeded to beat her to death.

The entire gruesome act was captured on CCTV, which also depicted passersby casually moving by while the brutal killing unfolded. On Monday, the Delhi police took Sahil into custody in connection with the murder case.
