New Delhi, Oct 27: Seeking to raise awareness on green environment and cleanliness this festive season, Delhi Metro has started a special train, with its exterior decked up in the colourful theme of nature and the spirit of festivity.
The six-coach train will run on Line 6 i.e., from ITO to Escorts Mujesar to promote cleanliness in the spirit of 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' so as to inspire the public especially, the youth and children, the DMRC today said.

"The exterior of the coaches have been exclusively decorated in colourful theme of nature, spirit of festivity along with display of prize-winning slogans on 'Swachhta'.
"These slogans have been chosen from an 'online slogan- writing competition' organised by DMRC from October 3-7 under its 'Swachh Metro' campaign.
The Diwali greetings include one-liners bearing the message of clean and green future to saying 'No to Crackers'," it said. Delhi Metro at present carries around 30 lakh passengers daily (weekdays) with a network of 213 km spanned over 160 stations.
"Such an initiative has the potential to spread the message on importance of cleanliness and inspire everyone to contribute in the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' by keeping their surroundings clean and staying away from any such act which damages the environment," it added.
