Delhi Metro Celebrates Republic Day with Special Train
The Delhi Metro unveiled a train adorned with patriotic motifs to mark the 75th Republic Day of India. The train was launched from Mandi House Metro Station on the Violet Line in the presence of dignitaries.
In commemoration of the 75th Republic Day, the Delhi Metro unveiled a uniquely wrapped train on Thursday, January 25th, 2023. The special train was launched from the Mandi House Metro Station on the Violet Line by esteemed guests, including Minister of Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Managing Director Vikas Kumar.

Flagging Off Ceremony
The DMRC shared the news on its official Twitter handle, announcing the formal commencement of the specially wrapped metro train's service. The event took place at the Mandi House Metro Station on the Violet Line, with Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal and DMRC MD Vikas Kumar gracing the occasion. The minister left his mark by signing on the decorated train, further adding to the celebratory atmosphere.
Interaction with Specially-Abled Children
As part of the event, Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal took the time to interact with specially-abled children who were present. These children were an integral part of the festivities, and their participation added a heartwarming touch to the occasion.
Violet Line Route
The Violet Line, on which the special train operates, connects Kashmere Gate in Delhi to Ballabhgarh in Haryana. This line provides convenient transportation services to commuters traveling between these two regions.
Metro Ride for Tribal Communities
In another significant event, the DMRC facilitated a metro ride for 100 individuals from tribal communities representing every state and Union Territory of India on Wednesday, January 24th, 2023. These guests embarked on a journey from INA to Patel Chowk Metro Stations on the Yellow Line. This initiative aimed to provide them with a firsthand experience of the world-class metro system, followed by a visit to the metro museum located at the Patel Chowk station.
Republic Day Celebrations
The tribal guests were invited to Delhi as part of the Republic Day celebrations organized by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. During their stay in the national capital, they had the opportunity to meet the President and the Prime Minister, as well as witness the grand Republic Day parade.
The Delhi Metro's special Republic Day train and the metro ride for tribal communities showcased the organization's commitment to inclusivity and its role in enhancing the overall transportation experience for all citizens.
