Delhi MCD elections 2017: BJP gets into clean up act
Top BJP sources said that this is a minor hiccup and will not cost the party dearly.
The BJP in Delhi has got into a clean up act ahead of the Delhi MCD elections 2017. The party's top brass has been receiving several complaints against some persons who are working against the party which led to the removal of two senior functionaries. The elections will held on April 23.
The party has now brought in Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, BJP's national vice president to take major decisions on the MCD elections. Sources say that over the past month, the party leadership has been getting complaints against some of the members. The BJP has identified 30 such persons and action against them would follow soon.
Top BJP sources said that this is a minor hiccup and will not cost the party dearly. The problem was identified soon and nipped in the bud. The BJP's national president was immediately appraised about the situation and he acted quickly on the same.
Meanwhile the BJP has deployed 'digital raths' for the campaign. There would be at least 35 of them which would highlight the achievements of the Narendra Modi government. Apart from showcasing the achievements of the Modi government, these 'raths' would also highlight the failures of the Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi.
