Delhi Tragedy: Tenant Found Dead, Landlord Held over Dispute

In a distressing incident from northeast Delhi's Karawal Nagar area, a 35-year-old man was found deceased in his rented accommodation on Wednesday. Identified as Subhash, the man's demise has led to the apprehension of his landlord in connection with the case. The Delhi Police received a call early in the morning about a body discovered at a house in Ambedkar Vihar, prompting immediate investigation.

Upon arrival, law enforcement found Subhash's body, which, notably, bore no visible external injuries. Deputy Commissioner of Police Northeast, Joy Tirkey, highlighted that preliminary inquiries suggest an altercation over a financial dispute led to the tragic event. The landlord, Satish Bhadana, is currently under suspicion for assaulting Subhash, leading to fatal consequences.

Bhadana, who is employed as a sanitation worker with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, allegedly had a monetary disagreement with Subhash, who worked as a labourer. This dispute is believed to have escalated to physical violence. The postmortem report from GTB Hospital revealed that Subhash suffered multiple internal injuries, including a head injury and perforated intestine, which were not immediately apparent.

Further interrogation of Bhadana shed light on the relationship between him and the victim. Subhash had been living with Bhadana for approximately eight years, presumably in a servant capacity. Bhadana accused Subhash of stealing Rs 15,000 from his money box, which he believed led to the assault and ultimately Subhash's untimely death.

This incident has cast a shadow over the Karawal Nagar area, raising concerns about the safety and security of individuals living in rented accommodations. The police are continuing their investigation into the matter to ensure justice is served.
