The Lt Governor also urged all the citizens to exercise their franchise. "I request people to come out and vote heavily. I always hope that Delhi makes a record in polling in the country," he said.

A record 65.13 per cent people had voted in the 2013 Assembly polls. Delhi has been under President's Rule since February last year after Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP government quit.
