Delhi Liquor Scam: ED Raids AAP MP Sanjay Singh's Aides Premises
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday raided the premises of several associates of AAP MP Sanjay Singh in connection with a case involving Delhi's now-scrapped liquor policy.
The ED conducted searches at the residence of Sanjay Singh's colleagues Ajit Tyagi, Sarvesh Mishra, and other businessmen who allegedly benefited from the policy.

"The Modi government's bullying is at its peak. I am fighting against Modi's dictatorship. The fake ED investigation of ED was exposed in front of the whole country. ED accepted its mistake and now when nothing was found after the central agency raided Singh's home, today ED raided the house of colleagues Ajit Tyagi and Sarvesh Mishra," Sanjay Singh tweeted.
"Sarvesh's father is suffering from cancer, this is the end of the crime," he added.
The fresh searches were conducted after some fresh inputs were obtained during the questioning of a few accused involved in the case.
Notably, Sanjay Singh had written to the Union finance secretary seeking sanction to prosecute the ED director and an assistant director and investigating officer of the liquor policy case for allegedly making false and derogatory claims against him in connection with this probe.
Delhi liquor scam
The liquor scheme came to light after Delhi LG VK Saxena recommended a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the alleged irregularities in the implementation of Delhi's Excise Policy 2021-22.
The scam stemmed from an FIR in which Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and some Delhi government bureaucrats were named as accused.
Following a probe, the Delhi Excise Policy, implemented on November 17 last year, was scrapped by the AAP government in July this year.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has alleged that the new liquor policy allowed retailers to offer big discounts to attract buyers. However, the AAP rejected the claims saying its policy was aimed at curbing corruption and accused the BJP of misusing central agencies for political goals.
