Delhi govt to regularise 50,000 contractual employees

New Delhi, Oct 21: The AAP government has started a process to regularise more than 50,000 employees working on contractual basis in its different departments.

The services department of the Delhi government has approved a policy to employ 'eligible' candidates on a regular basis, an official said.

The government has directed all the departments to prepare a scheme to fill up the vacant posts.

A senior official said that the Delhi government will soon come out with some open vacancies against the regularised posts lying vacant.

"As per policy, contractual employees will get some relaxations while applying for the regularised posts," he added.
