Delhi: Fire breaks out at Ashoka hotel in Chanakyapuri
New Delhi, Aug 13: A fire has broken out in the basement of Ashoka Hotel in Chanakyapuri area on Monday. Seven fire tenders are present at the spot.
A call was received at 12.20 pm about the fire in the hotel's records kept in the basement and eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot, a senior officer from the Delhi Fire Service said.
No one was injured in the fire, says fire service official.

In a similar incident in May, a major fire broke out at the lawns of a five-star hotel in Vasant Kunj. The incident happened ahead of a wedding function. No one was injured in the incident however, the tents set up for the function were gutted. Three fire tenders were pressed into service.
