Delhi Elections 2025: Polling On February 5, Results On Feb 8, Announces CEC Rajiv Kumar

Delhi Elections 2025: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday announced schedule for the upcoming Delhi Assembly Elections 2025. CEC Rajiv Kumar shared dates for polling and results for the national capital. Polling for 70 assembly seats of the Delhi Assembly will take place in a single phase on February 5 and results will be announced on February 8, 2025.

The Delhi Elections 2025 is expected to be a triangular contest mainly between the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Indian National Congress (INC), and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Before the announcement of dates for the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 dates, CEC Rajiv Kumar answered some hot questions related to the addition and deletion of names in the voters' list.

He said, every name is added and deleted from the voters list only after the Booth Level Officer (BLO) cross-verifies it. All claims of name addition and deletion with proper verification are baseless. Election officers have done their job really well.

Rajiv Kumar also answered questions related to EVM machines referring to the Supreme Court's earlier statements that EVMs are hack-proof, no rigging or manipulation can happen. He added that all these Questions and Answers have been published on the Election Commission's website.

India has gold standards of Elections and ECI aims to strengthen Indian democracy.

Delhi has 70 constituencies including 12 reserved. There are a total of 1.55 crore voters in Delhi, out of which, 83.49 lakhs are males and 71.74 lakhs are females.
