As per sources, the Punjab CM's security did not let the EC team enter the Chief Minister's residence. A team of Delhi Police is also accompanying Election Officers. The raid is said to be part of regular practice to ensure no use of money for wooing the voters.

EC Officials Reach Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann s Delhi Residence

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwan Mann is one of the star campaigners for Aam Aadmi Party and is slated to do road shows in several constituencies dominated by Punjabi and Sikh voters.

Talking to the media, an official said, EC received a complaint via cVIGIL app, and the Flying Squad Team (FST) is just doing its duty. The task was assigned to the officials by ECI Control Room.

Upon receiving the complaint, a team of EC officials reached Kapurthala House where alleged violation of MCC happened.

It was learned that the complaint was filed by BJP leader Ravneet Singh Bittu, who alleged that "Punjab Chief Minister's cavalcade is going to different assembly constituencies and the cash, which is being looted from Punjab, is being distributed."

Reacting to the incident, Delhi CM Atishi took it to Twitter. In a post in Hindi, CM said, "Delhi Police has reached to raid @BhagwantMann ji's house in Delhi. BJP people are distributing money, shoes, sheets in broad daylight - that is not visible. Instead they go to raid the residence of an elected Chief Minister. Wow BJP! People of Delhi will give their answer on 5th!"
