The results for the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 will be announced on Saturday, February 8. The elections for all 70 Assembly seats took place in a single phase on February 5.

This year, 699 candidates contested the elections, including 603 male candidates, 95 female candidates, and a third-gender person. Compared to the 2020 elections, where 668 candidates were in the fray, the 2025 elections have seen an increase of 31 candidates.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), led by Arvind Kejriwal, is aiming for a third consecutive term, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is making a strong bid to reclaim power. The Congress, which allied with AAP during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, has decided to contest independently this time, targeting both its previous ally and the BJP.

Delhi has a total of 1.55 crore registered voters, including 83.49 lakh males, 71.74 lakh females, and 1,267 individuals from the third gender. Among them, 2.08 lakh are first-time voters.

To make voting more accessible, the Election Commission introduced the Vote-from-Home (VFH) facility for nearly 6,500 senior citizens aged 85 and above, along with 1,051 persons with disabilities.
