Delhi Election 2025 Predictions: Phalodi Satta Bazar Predicts AAP For Majority With 39-41 Seats

The Delhi Assembly Election 2025, slated for February 5, 2025 (Wednesday), is shaping up to be a fierce three-way battle between the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and the Congress. AAP aims for a third consecutive term, while the BJP is making a strong push to regain power after a 27-year gap. Congress, which previously ruled Delhi for 15 years until Arvind Kejriwal's rise in 2013, is fighting for relevance in the capital.

Despite the ongoing popularity of AAP's welfare initiatives, the lack of a credible opponent may pose obstacles for the BJP. The Congress, which entered the race late, is eager to reclaim influence and avenge past losses that heavily impacted the UPA government.

Delhi Election 2025 Predictions

Current opinion polls favor the ruling AAP, indicating a potential return to power in Delhi. Additionally, the Phalodi Satta Bazar, a prominent betting market in Rajasthan, has provided its predictions for the upcoming elections.

Phalodi Satta Bazar's Latest Projections

Meanwhile, Phalodi Satta Bazar has revised its estimates and indicated that AAP would lead, potentially surpassing the majority requirement of 36 seats in the 70-member Assembly. However, recent projections have been adjusted as the election date approaches.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP): The incumbent AAP, which dominated the last two elections with 67 and 62 seats in 2015 and 2020, respectively, aims for a third consecutive term. Facing corruption allegations and other challenges, AAP's expected seat count has been revised from an estimated 37-39 to 39-41, signaling a slight improvement in public sentiment.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP): The BJP, having last secured a victory in Delhi in 1993, is keen to reverse its fortunes. Riding on recent successes in Maharashtra and Haryana, the party has introduced several populist measures aimed at challenging AAP's welfare schemes. The latest Phalodi Satta Bazar projections show the BJP winning 29 to 31 seats, falling short of the majority mark.

Congress: With minimal representation in the Delhi Assembly and Lok Sabha, Congress is eager to make a comeback in this election. They have nominated candidates for all 70 seats but have only recently intensified their critique of Kejriwal and AAP, despite being a current partner in the INDIA bloc. Phalodi Satta Bazar's recent estimates did not indicate any seats for the Congress party, a downward revision from an earlier prediction of 3 seats.

Party Projected Seats
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) 39-41
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) 29-31
Congress 0

After the nomination process concluded on January 20, the upcoming elections will feature a total of 699 candidates contesting across 70 seats. Both AAP and Congress are competing in all constituencies, whereas the BJP will contest 68 seats, with its alliance partners, JD(U) and LJP (Ram Vilas), contesting one seat each.

Polling will take place on February 5, with results expected on February 8, ahead of the Delhi Assembly's term ending on February 23.
