Delhi: Drunk cab driver mows down 2 cops; arrested
New Delhi, Dec 14: A speeding cab driver has reportedly mowed down two cops and injured another in Kalindi Kunj area of Southeast Delhi on Sunday morning.
According to a Times of India report, the cops at a barricade had flagged down the speeding cab but the driver stepped on gas instead and rammed into the barricade. Following this, he hit the cops standing at the barricade and dragged them to nearly 100 metres.

The cab driver who was detained by the police a few distance away from the accident spot has been identified as Hemant from Ghaziabad. Report says Hemant was drunk at the time of incident.
Meanwhile, the police have arrested him under sections of causing death due to negligence.
The cops who lost their lives have been identified as ASI Nagender and constable Prahlad. They were posted at Jaitpur police station. The injured cop has been admitted at Apollo hospital.
