Delhi Court To Hear Cases Against Four AAP Leaders, Including Kejriwal

At Delhi's Rouse Avenue court today, a demanding legal schedule awaits the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), with cases involving four prominent leaders, including Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, listed for hearing.

In the excise policy case, three leaders -- Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and Sanjay Singh -- may physically appear before the court, while Satyendar Jain, accused in a disproportionate assets case, is expected to appear virtually.

Kejriwal Delhi court hearing

Arvind Kejriwal summoned by court

Court summonses have been issued for Arvind Kejriwal by the Rouse Avenue Court for February 17, following the Delhi Chief Minister's multiple failures to comply with summonses from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with a money laundering case associated with the excise policy case. It was noted by the court that the AAP chief was "legally bound" to comply with the summonses.

Manish Sisodia in Rouse Avenue Court

In relation to the money laundering case, former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is scheduled to appear before the court of Special Judge MK Nagpal. His appearance comes as his judicial custody period expires today.

Additionally, the court will also hear Manish Sisodia's plea seeking regular bail. Sisodia, who was previously denied bail by the Supreme Court, has applied for bail in cases filed against him by both the CBI and the Enforcement Directorate over the alleged scam.

Sanjay Singh to appear in Delhi Excise Policy case

Furthermore, Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, who is also implicated in a money-laundering probe connected to the excise policy case, is set to be presented before the Rouse Avenue court. His judicial custody period is also due to expire on Saturday.

Disproportionate Assets aase against Satyendar Jain

The court is also slated to address the disproportionate assets case against Satyendar Jain. In this case, the CBI has accused Jain of amassing disproportionate assets amounting to Rs 1.47 crore.
