Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Gets Bail In Excise Policy Case
A Delhi court on Thursday granted bail to Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal in connection with the money laundering case linked to now scrapped Delhi Excise Policy.
According to the reports, Rouse Avenue Court's Special Bench Judge Niyay Bindu granted him bail on some conditions and a security deposit of Rs 1 lakh..

According to Tihar Jail sources, Arvind Kejriwal is likely to come out of jail on Friday, June 21.
The court had reserved the order after hearing the matter for two days. During the hearing on bail plea, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had sought to link Arvind Kejriwal to the alleged proceeds of crime and co-accused, while Arvind Kejriwal's prosecutor claimed that the case is a hoax as no evidence was submitted by the investigating agency.
Welcoming Delhi Court's decision, Delhi minister and MLA Sourabh Bhardwaj, in a post in Hindi on X, said, "It was very important that lower courts also deliver timely justice. Every case going to the Supreme Court was unnecessarily increasing the burden on the Supreme Court."
He added that he is waiting till the Supreme Court for any relief in PMLA cases was stifling the entire justice system.
