Delhi: Clashes between AISA, ABVP over Umar Khalid's talk at Ramjas College
Ramjas College cancelled Khalid's talk, which led to the clash between the two groups
Clashes erupted between members of the All India Students Association and the Akhil Bharatiya Vidya Parishad after a talk by JNU student Umar Khalid was cancelled on Wednesday.

A talk by Khalid scheduled to be held at the Ramjas College had been cancelled which led to clashes at the Delhi University. Khalid's name had made to the front pages of the newspapers in the sedition case registered during an Afzall Guru event at the Jawaharlal Nehru University.
Clashes were reported at the North Campus of the Delhi University. The two groups have clashed several times in the past. In October, members of the ABVP and the AISA clashed with each other during a public meeting at the Delhi University. Both groups had pelted stones at each other.
Similar clashes had been witnessed in March after the AISA allegedly ridiculed the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in a street play. The AISA had organised a play and it was alleged that they have mocked the RSS. There was sloganeering at first, following which the two groups clashed at the Delhi University.
