Delhi Chandni Chowk Seat Result 2025: AAP's Punardeep Sahni Vs BJP's Satish Jain Vs Congress' Mudit Aggarwal
The voting for 70 assembly seats in Delhi is done and now it is time for the results. In Delhi's heart, Chandni Chowk AAP's Punardeep Sahni, son of Prahlad Singh Sawhney and a Municipal Councillor is taking on BJP's Satish Jain and Congress' Mudit Agarwal, son of former MP Jaiprakash Agarwal.
The results for the Chandni Chowk seat will be announced on February 8th along with rest 69.

Chandni Chowk, a bustling market in Old Delhi. It is part of the Chandni Chowk Parliamentary seat and has a general category status. Along with big players namely- Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Congress, regional groups are also in fray.
The constituency's demographics reveal that Scheduled Castes make up 18.41% of its population. In 2020, there were 125,717 registered voters and 133 polling stations. Voter turnout for the 2020 assembly election was recorded at 61.43%. During this election, AAP secured 65.92% of the votes, BJP received 27.6%, and Congress got 5.03%.

In the 2020 elections, Parlad Singh Sawhney from AAP emerged victorious in Chandni Chowk with a margin of 29,584 votes. He garnered 50,891 votes, equating to a vote share of 65.92%. His closest competitor, Suman Kumar Gupta from BJP, received 21,307 votes or 27.60% of the total.
Looking back at the 2015 elections, Alka Lamba from AAP won with a vote count of 36,756 and a share of 49.35%. She defeated BJP's Suman Kumar Gupta by a margin of 18,287 votes as he managed to secure only 18,469 votes or 24.80%.
Historical Winners in Chandni Chowk
Over the years, Chandni Chowk has seen various winners: Parlad Singh Sawhney represented Indian National Congress in both the 2008 and 2013 elections before switching to AAP for his win in 2020. Alka Lamba also represented AAP when she won in the year between Sawhney's terms in office.
This constituency remains significant due to its historical importance and vibrant political landscape where major parties like AAP continue to dominate recent elections.
