Delhi assembly elections: Youth SAD (Delhi) members join Congress

Youth SAD (Delhi) members join Congress
New Delhi, Nov 28: Extending support to Congress, scores of Youth Shiromani Akali Dal (Delhi) members joined the party here on Thursday.

Stating that BJP and its prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi cannot be trusted, Youth Shiromani Akali Dal President Raja Harpreet Singh said the organisation members decided to join Congress in view of the unprecedented development which took place during the last 15 years.

"Modi is not acceptable to all sections and communities in the country as his approach towards the minorities is highly objectionable," Singh said, adding that Modi should be condemned for evicting farmers from Punjab who migrated to Gujarat many decades ago.

Singh stated that the members of the youth wing would strive hard to ensure victory of the Congress in Delhi. Delhi Meo Sabha also extended its support to the Congress in the assembly elections.

The assembly elections in Delhi will be held on December 4.
