Delhi: 552 people challaned for violating odd-even scheme
New Delhi, Jan 14: On the 13th day of implementation of car-rationing measures in the national capital, as many as 552 violators were challaned on Jan 13.
The police penalised 45 motorists for violating the vehicular restriction norms, enforcement teams of the government's Transport department fined 279 motorists and the Divisional commissioner booked 228, senior officials said.

Yesterday, a total of 601 violators of the odd-even scheme were challaned.
On Monday, the authorities had booked 753 violators of the scheme, which will run till Jan 15.
The odd-even scheme brought by AAP-led Delhi government as part of a pilot plan to cut air pollution in the city was rolled out on Jan 1. The rules apply only from Monday to Saturday.
