Defence security guard at Kochi Naval base found dead

Kochi, May 23: A defence security guard at the Kochi naval base was found dead in the early hours of Monday soon after a gunshot was heard.

An investigation has begun as to whether K. Sivadasan, 53, shot himself or the gun that he used accidentally went off, police sources said.

The body has been sent for autopsy.

The Indian Navy also has begun a probe into Sivadasan's death.
