Rajnath Singh flagged off the Run for Unity event in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, to commemorate Sardar Patel's birth anniversary and National Unity Day. Around 8,000 people, including children, NCC cadets, youth, sportspersons, running enthusiasts, and HAL personnel, participated in the 1.5-km run. Rajnath Singh also paid tribute to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her martyrdom day. He acknowledged her as India's first and only woman prime minister and expressed his respect for her contributions.

Infrastructure Development in Lucknow

Singh highlighted the economic progress India has made under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, moving from the tenth position to the fifth position globally. He also mentioned the upcoming construction of an elevator road above Shaheed Path and the elevated road project from Lucknow to Kanpur.

Singh attended the closing ceremony of Jaantaa Raja, a play based on the life of Shivaji Maharaj, at the Janeshwar Mishra Park in Lucknow.
