Decomposed body of man found in open manhole

Hyderabad, Sep 23: Body of an unidentified man, in his mid-30s, was found in an open manhole on the premises of state-run Gandhi Hospital here, police said.

Police who recovered the decomposed body which was found turned upside down in the manhole filled with sewage on Tuesday, suspected that the person had died four days ago, they said.

The body was sent for post-mortem. Chilkalguda Police Station Inspector Srinivasulu said so far the identification of the dead person has not been established.

"He might have accidentally fallen into the open manhole," the Inspector said, adding the probe is on.
