Decomposed Body of Girl Unearthed from Her Home in Faridabad

In a distressing development from Dhauj village, the decomposed body of a young girl was unearthed from her residence, sparking a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death. The discovery was made following concerns raised by the girl's father, currently residing in Saudi Arabia, who reported his inability to establish contact with his daughter for an extended period. His worries were communicated to the local authorities via an email on June 7, prompting immediate police action.

The investigation took a significant turn when the girl's mother was interrogated. She recounted to the officers that approximately a year prior, her daughter had eloped with a man but had returned after some time. According to the mother's account, overwhelmed by the constant ridicule from relatives, the girl chose to end her life by hanging herself in September 2023. She further disclosed that her daughter's body was subsequently buried within the premises of their home.

However, this narrative has led the police to suspect foul play, with doubts being cast on the involvement of family members in the tragic demise of the girl. Acting on the mother's statement, a specialized team led by Assistant Commissioner of Police Mujesar Mahesh Sheoran, along with Tehsildar of Badkhal, forensic experts, and the in-charge of Dhauj police station, was deployed to exhume the body for further examination.

The recovered remains have been transferred to Badshah Khan Hospital, awaiting an autopsy scheduled to be conducted at Nalhar Medical College in Nuh district. This crucial step is expected to shed light on the exact cause of death and ascertain any signs of foul play.
