Dawood Ibrahim's Ancestral Home To be Transformed Into 'Sanatan Dharma Pathshala'

Ajay Srivastava, the lawyer who acquired Dawood Ibrahim's ancestral home, wants to convert the property into a Sanatan Dharma Pathshala. He desires to construct a hostel for the students who will study in the said school.

He bought two agricultural plots in Khed taluka of Ratnagiri on January 6, originally owned by Ibrahim's mother, Amina Bi. He purchased the land through an auction for over Rs 2 crore.

Out of four plots, the remaining two lands under Amina Bi's name did not attract bidders. Surprisingly, the smallest plot among the four, with an initial reserve price of Rs 15,440 was auctioned for over Rs.2 crore, approximately 1,300 times the reserve price.

Srivastav explained the reason behind bidding so above the reserve price. He said, "The survey number of this land, my birth date and the price I quoted add up to a figure in numerology that works in my favour."

Three bidders participated in this auction. Srivastav acquired agricultural land as well, spanning 1,730 sqm for Rs 3.3 lakh, initially priced at Rs 1.56 lakh.

The properties are in Mumbake village in Khed taluka where the gangster and his siblings spent part of their childhood.

In 2020, he also purchased Ibrahim's bungalow and established the Sanatan Dharma Pathshala trust.

In 2017, the government sold three opulent bungalows in South Delhi, including a hotel owned by Ibrahim.

Dawood Ibrahim, sought in connection with the suspected orchestrator of the 1993 Mumbai bombings, leading to nearly 250 fatalities and numerous injuries, is believed to be living in the affluent Clifton neighbourhood of Karachi, as per Indian authorities. However, the Pakistani government has denied the claim.
