Dawood Ibrahim Is Dead Or Alive? His Aide Chhota Shakeel Breaks Silence

Amid widespread rumours of dreaded gangster Dawood Ibrahim's death, his close aide Chhota Shakeel has broken the silence about the reports saying that the India's designated terrorist is alive.

In an exclusive conversation with CNN-News18, Shakeel said, "Dawood is alive and healthy. Even I was shocked to see this fake news. I met him multiple times yesterday,"

Also, a relative of Dawood Ibrahim told Republic TV that the gangster is alive. "The news of poisoning is incorrect. Also, we are unaware of his whereabout," the relative added.

Speculations circulated suggesting that Dawood Ibrahim had been poisoned by an unidentified individual and subsequently rushed to the hospital. Certain reports even asserted his demise. These rumours emerged in the wake of a nationwide internet shutdown in Pakistan.

However, a surprising statement attributed to Pakistan's caretaker PM Anwar ul Haq Kakar started doing rounds on social media today, giving a strong impression to the people that he had died.

A screenshot with the message read: "The Messiah of humanity, dear to every Pakistani heart, our beloved His Excellency Dawood Ibrahim passed away due to poisoned by unknown. He breathed his last in a hospital in Karachi. May Allah grant him the highest position in Jannat. Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un."

However, this has turned out to be a fake message as Pakistan's caretaker PM. On a close inspection of the viral screenshot, it is revealed that the user name doesn't match the official account of Anwaar ul Haq.

In 2003, both India and the United States designated him as a global terrorist, offering a reward of US$25 million for his apprehension due to his involvement in the 1993 Bombay bombings.

In 2011, he earned the dubious distinction of being ranked as the third most wanted fugitive on the World's 10 Most Wanted list by the FBI and Forbes. Despite the widespread circulation of death rumours about Dawood on social media, it's important to highlight that such speculations tend to surface on these platforms once or twice annually.
