Dasara School Holidays In October 2024: When Will It Reopen?

Schools, colleges, and educational institutions will observe several closures throughout October 2024 due to Gandhi Jayanti, Navratri, and Dussehra celebrations, allowing students and parents to plan for extended weekends. Here's a breakdown of how many days schools will be closed in October.

In West Bengal, schools will be closed for a total of 10 days in honor of Durga Puja, along with various state-specific holidays. Students are advised to check their respective state holiday calendars, as schools will be closed for five days throughout the month for different festivals.

The government has announced a generous 13-day holiday for all schools during Dussehra this year. In Telangana, government schools will be closed from October 2 to October 14, with classes resuming on October 15.

The first holiday of the month will be for Gandhi Jayanti on October 2. The following day, many states, including Rajasthan, will observe a holiday for Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti on October 3. Additionally, schools will close for Mahastami on October 11 and Vijayadashami on October 12.
