Daily wage labourer electrocuted in Kashmir

Srinagar, Mar 1: A daily wage labourer in Power Development Department (PDD) was electrocuted after he came in contact with a live wire in Bandipora district of north Kashmir today.

Khursheed Ahmad Bhat of Seer Mohalla locality in Chatti Bandi, was repairing a transformer at Gori Hajam in Bandipora, 52 km from here, when he accidentally touched the electricity supply line, a police spokesman said. He said the labourer died on the spot.

His body was handed over to his family after necessary formalities, the spokesman said.
