Dabur's Rs 400 Crore Tamil Nadu Plant To Create Over 250 Jobs
Dabur, one of India's leading FMCG giants, is making a significant investment of Rs 400 crore to establish a world-class manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu's Villupuram district.
This marks Dabur's first-ever manufacturing facility in South India. The company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Tamil Nadu government to this effect, a development confirmed by the state's Minister for Industries, Dr. TRB Rajaa, on social media.

Welcoming Dabur to South India, Dr. Rajaa shared, "In the presence of Honourable @CMOTamilNadu Thiru. @MKStalin avargal, @Guidance_TN today signed an MoU with Dabur for the establishment of a world-class manufacturing plant, their FIRST EVER in South India, at the SIPCOT Food Park in Tindivanam, Villupuram district."
He also highlighted that the new facility would provide farmers with valuable opportunities to sell their agro-produce for processing at the plant.
Dr. Rajaa further emphasized the state's robust industrial environment, stating, "Dabur is renowned for its home care, personal care, and juice products, and its decision to choose Tamil Nadu is a testament to our state's thriving industrial ecosystem & availability of a work-ready labour force. We will soon get to taste Real Juice, Made In Tamil Nadu!"
This strategic move by Dabur, a company with a rich history dating back to 1884 when it was founded by SK Burman to produce Ayurvedic medicines, is expected to strengthen its presence in the southern region of India.
The company's diverse product portfolio includes Real fruit juices, Meswak and Babool toothpastes, Vatika, Amla and Almond hair oils, Chyawanprash, Odomos, Honitus cough syrup, Gulabari, and more.
Meanwhile, Dabur India shares have shown positive market response, with a 1.53% rise, currently trading at Rs 644.20, marking a year-to-date (YTD) increase of 15.52%.
