Dabholkar murder: Maha Guv to intervene
Mumbai, Sept 4: Seeking government's intervention in bringing the murderers of activist Dr Narendra Dhabolkar to justice, a ten-member delegation of political leaders and activists from Maharashtra met Governor K Sankaranarayanan. The team was headed by Prakash Ambedkar and Prof N D Patil. Other members of the delegation included MLC Kapil Patil, Prakash Reddy and others, all under the banner of 'Samyukta Nirdhar Parishad'.

Expressing their displeasure at the state government's inability to nab the murderers even after 15 days of the incident, the team sought the Governor's intervention to ask the state government to launch a special inquiry into the matter.

The killers were captured riding their bikes in seven CCTV cameras in establishments around Shaniwar Peth. IT is alleged that before gunning down Dabholkar at the Maharshi Vitthal Ramji Shinde bridge at 7.15am on August 20, the acused were spotted in Shaniwar Peth, Jangli Maharaj Road and near Pune Municipal Corporation early that morning.
