The Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD), known as the German Academic Exchange Service, plays a pivotal role in fostering international academic collaboration. It offers scholarships to foreign graduates from diverse fields who have a minimum of two years of professional experience. This opportunity allows them to pursue postgraduate or master's degrees at accredited German universities.
DAAD Scholarship 2025: Value
The DAAD scholarship amounts vary based on the academic level. Graduates receive a monthly stipend of €934 (approximately Rs 85,000), while doctoral candidates receive €1,300 (around Rs 1,19,000) per month. Additionally, the scholarship covers health, accident, and personal liability insurance.

Recipients may also receive a travel allowance unless these costs are already covered by their home country or other funding sources. Further benefits can include a monthly rent subsidy and an allowance for accompanying family members, depending on specific conditions.
The scholarship's duration ranges from 12 to 42 months, contingent upon the chosen study programme.

To be eligible for the DAAD Scholarship 2025, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Possess a bachelor's degree, which is usually a four-year course in a relevant field.
2. Have a minimum of two years of professional experience.

8. PhD Programme in Resource Nexus for Sustainability Transformations (NEXtra)
9. Master of Science in International Health (Berlin)
10. Master of Science in Global Urban Health
11. Master of Laws in Intellectual Property and Competition Law
12. International Media Studies
