DA case: Sasikala spends night at resort; ‘positive’ about becoming CM
Ahead of the crucial judgement in the disproportionate assets case against Sasikala Natarajan, the AIADMK leader exuded confidence in front of her party colleagues.
Chennai, Feb 14: Hours before the Supreme Court is all set to deliver its judgement in the disproportionate assets case against Sasikala Natarajan on Tuesday, the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam interim general secretary has put on a brave face.
Ahead of the SC verdict, she spent the night at a resort, located in the outskirts of Chennai, where around 120 party legislators are currently lodged. Addressing her party colleagues, who are backing her claim to the chief ministerial post, Sasikala said she was positive and all set to form the government in Tamil Nadu.

"I look at everything positively. We will continue this government," she said. For the last four days, more than 120 AIADMK legislators are staying at Golden Bay Resorts near Mahabalipuram. Sasikala's main rival in the whole drama, caretaker Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, alleged that the MLAs were being forcefully kept in the resort.
Till now, Panneerselvam camp has the support of 12 party parliamentarians and seven legislators. Numbers are surely in favour of Sasikala, however, it is the SC verdict that will make or break her political career.
It's a tricky case and legal experts are keenly observing the verdict. Reports say, at 10.30 am, the SC bench comprising of justices Pinaki Chandra Ghose and Amitava Roy will individually deliver the verdict at court no: 6 of the apex court in Delhi.
Experts have already analysed the whole case minutely and predicted various judgements likely to be delivered by the SC. Till the judgement is not delivered, team Sasikala is keeping its fingers crossed.
