Cyclone NADA to weaken says met department

"In the next 12 hours cyclone will weaken to a deep depression", predicted the met department.

The met department said on Thursday that cyclonic storm NADA is likely to weaken as deep depression and cross the coast.

Cyclone NADA to weaken says met department

The Cyclone is expected to cross coast between Vedaranyam and Cuddalore. Tamil Nadu and Puducherry are likely to receive moderate rainfall. Heavy rainfall is expected in coastal parts.

The cyclone is positioned at 270 km southeast of Puducherry. Meanwhile reports of rough seas in Cuddalore have been received.

Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea.
