Cycling should be promoted in India: Akhilesh Yadav

Lucknow, Nov 17: Advocating use of bicycles, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today said that there should be separate infrastructure facilities in India for cycling.

Addressing the gathering here at a cycling event, 'Paddle for Cleaner, Greener and Better Lajwab Lucknow', Akhilesh said that instead of associating cycle with poverty, it's use should be promoted.

In foreign countries, separate infrastructure facilities are provided for cycling and there is a need to do the same in India, he said. Akhilesh said that like cycling, the youths should learn the art of maintaining balance in their lives.
