Currency notes found floating in Ganga river in UP
They were spotted by people bathing in the river near Narghat of Kotwali police station
Lucknow, Nov 11: A day after sacks full of shredded Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes were found burning in Bareilly, hundreds of similar notes were found floating in the Ganga river in Mirzapur on Friday.
The Uttar Pradesh Police said the exact number of the currency notes could not be ascertained. They were spotted by people bathing in the river near Narghat of Kotwali police station.

As the news spread, police force was sent to the spot. A probe was ordered into the matter.
