Currency exchange- Watch people throng banks

The Kalpakkam branch of the State Bank of India too had a large number of people. Here are some visuals from the branch.

The roads were empty and the banks were filled with people queueing up to exchange their Rs 500 and 1,000 notes after the same had been declared invalid on Tuesday midnight. All banks saw a large number of people queuing up since early morning.

Some banks witnessed chaos as people tried to push their way forward. Banks had a tough time. Many people had come in as early as 6 AM to the banks with the hopes of being served first. All banks witnessed similar queues.
