Curfew to be relaxed from 8 AM to 6 PM in Hazaribagh tomorrow

Hazaribagh (Jharkhand), Apr 20: Curfew imposed in Hazaribagh and its surrounding areas following clashes between two groups will be relaxed from 8 AM to 6 PM tomorrow as the situation is fast coming back to normalcy, a senior government official said.

Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Kumar told reporters curfew was relaxed from noon to 5 PM today and would be relaxed from 8 AM to 6 PM tomorrow following improvement in the situation. The DC said two persons were identified in connection with "misleading posts" in Facebook and they would be arrested.

Superintendent of Police Akhilesh Kumar Jha said another body was today found from a house at a place in the town, twodays after the police had found the first body.

The administration had relaxed curfew for two hours yesterday after clamping it on April 17 following a clash between two groups, who torched shops and pelted stones at policemen on the last day of the Ram Navami festival. Trouble started when objectionable recorded slogans were played in a Ram Navami procession triggering clash between the two groups near Hazaribagh railway station.
