Curfew relaxed for 4 hours in Jamshedpur
Jamshedpur, July 22: With no major incident of violence reported in Jamshedpur, curfew was today relaxed for four hours, barring the affected places which witnessed clashes between two communities on an alleged incident of eve teasing.
"We have extended four hours of relaxation in the curfew from 1 PM to 5 PM in Jamshedpur, but not in the affected police station areas of Mango, Azadnagar, Olidih and MGM," Deputy Commissioner Amitabh Kaushal said.

The curfew clamped in Jamshedpur and its peripheral areas following violent clashes between members of two communities over eve-teasing at Mango on Monday last, would be reimposed after 5 PM, he said.
Barring sporadic incidents, the situation in the steel city including Mango area remained peaceful which prompted the administration to take the decision, he said.
Deputy Superintendent of Police P Jascinta Kerketta said that situation was well under control as no fresh incident had taken place since last night.
"We have adequate forces including para-military forces which have already arrived from Patna," she said assuring that the situation would return to normal soon.
Earlier in the morning, CRPF staged a flag march in the affected areas to inculcate confidence among the people, even as schools remained closed in view of the tense situation since the last two days.
District Superintendent of Education, Indra Bhusan said the administration would take a decision about further extension of closure of schools depending on the situation.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Amitabh Kaushal and SSP Anoop T Mathew told reporters last night that six FIRs had been lodged and 103 people arrested in connection with the clashes.
An enquiry has been ordered to probe the clashes, Kaushal said adding that the probe would be done by the Kolhan Division Commissioner Arun and DIG R K Dhan.
