CRPF's 'jugaad' now an alternate to bulletproof vehicles in Valley
Currently there are 600 vehicles that are being used by the CRPF in the Valley.
The CRPF has come up with a substitute for bullet proof vehicles. Known as 'jugaad,' it would help the security forces in Kashmir overcome the shortage of bullet proof vehicles.

'Jugaad' is a casing of metal and wood with concrete poured in the middle. This is this fitted on the exterior of the vehicle. This would immediately help overcome the shortage of bullet proof vehicles in Kashmir.
Currently there are 600 vehicles that are being used by the CRPF in the Valley. 200 of these vehicles are not bullet proof which makes it easier for terrorists to attack. While the Union Government has said that the procurement of 210 bullet proof vehicles have been cleared, the security forces say that they needed an alternate to cater to immediate needs. Hence 'jugaad' comes handy until the proposals see the light of the day.
