CRPF Takes Over Security Duties From NSG For 9 Z-Plus Category VIPs | Deets Inside
The VIP security currently provided by the National Security Guard (NSG) will gradually be transferred to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), according to sources from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
This transition is expected to be completed within approximately two months.

The CRPF will take over the protection of nine Z-plus category VIPs currently being guarded by the NSG. The VIP security classifications range from the highest level, Z+, followed by Z, Y+, Y, and X.

The Z-plus category is the highest level of armed VIP security, managed by the CRPF's VIP security wing.
The CRPF provides both static and mobile security to protectees, and the Z-plus advanced security liaison (ASL) is the second highest level of protection after the SPG cover.
