CRPF jawan rapes mentally challenged minor girl, arrested
The mother of the girl filed an FIR at the Ganj police station late yesterday night, said deputy superintendent of police Vaibhav Sharma. The accused was named as Mojinder Verma (31). He further added that the jawan was booked under IPC sections 376 (rape) and 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).
The medical report of the girl and the accused is being awaited. Police have found a CCTV footage showing the jawan leading the minor to a room.
The accused was produced before the court, which sent him to a day's custody.
