Watch: CRPF jawan brutally beaten up by mob in Kashmir

Srinagar, Apr 12: At a time when the nation's attention is focussed over students' protest at Srinagar NIT, a shocking video of brutality against a CRPF jawan is going viral over social media.

The video shows a CRPF jawan, trying to control the mob from pelting stones in a street of an area in Kashmir, is being beaten up by the locals.

The video shows the mob chasing a lone CRPF jawan and brutally beat him up.

CRPF has been stationed in the Jammu and Kashmir under AFSPA rule to maintain the law and order in the militancy-prone state.

The locals are consistently demanding the revocation of AFSPA from the state and hence, protests against the CRPF and administration on the streets of Kashmir is a common sighting.

Sometimes, to control the mob the CRPF resorts to lathicharge and fire bullets which has resulted in loss of lives, thereby aggravating the anger of the locals against the paramilitary forces.
